According to the archeological findings, this area was inhabited 4000 years BC and the principal reason of the inhabitation of the area of Baska Voda has been the spring of drinking water. The name Baska Voda is first mentioned in 1688 and the first public building in this area was the late baroque church of St. Lovre. Besides agriculture, the locals were involved in fishing and marine. The famous historical monuments are the church of St. Lovre (late baroque building from 1750, built upon the foundation of an antique building), St. Nikola church (built in 1889 in a neoromantic style and holds the valuable stained glass by Josip Botteri Dini, as well as the Stations of the Cross by Josip Bifel), St. Roko church (dates back to the 15th century and was built in the gothic style), Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary (dates back to 1636 and was built in the late baroque style), Church of All Saints (from 1999), statue o St. Nikola and many other. During summer, countless festivities are organized in Baska Voda, such as the fishermen nights, evenings of Dalmatian folk songs, folklore evenings and different concerts. Those who want to have fun until the early morning hours can visit one of many nightclubs on the beach or on numerous dance balconies. If you want to explore the surroundings of Baska Voda, you can go on one-day excursions. Be sure to visit:

Split is located only 8km from Podstrana. It is one of the best known and most visited tourist destinations in Croatia and the second largest city in the country.  It is an eternally young city which lives with a slow pace that is very easy to get accustomed to. This city is rich in historical monuments of which we recommend the following: Diocletian’s palace (the heart of the city), the Iron Gate, the statue of bishop Gregory of Nin, the cathedral of St. Duje, church of St. Francis, cathedral of St. Peter, the main court, city basement, St. Anne’s monastery and many others.

Makarska is one of the most popular tourist destinations of the Croatian coast. This city is well known for its rich tourism offer. Everyone can find something for themselves. Visit the following historical monuments: Franciscan monastery (holds a wine cellar, library, malacological museum and the “Mountain and Sea” institute), church of St. Mark, church of St. Peter, city museum and church of St. Philip. Sports and recreation lovers can enjoy cycling, sailing, jet-ski riding, basketball, hunting, soccer, volleyball, paragliding, hiking, rafting, fishing, scuba diving and many other activities.

Hvar is an ancient city with a rich history and the greatest number of sunny days. It faces the sunny South side of the world on the island of the same name. Its name comes from the Greek name for Hvar, “Pharos.” In the city you can view various historical monuments of which we recommend the Fortica fortress, the Hvar cathedral, city theatre and the Franciscan monastery. This city is the center of the island’s tourism and it is one of the most preferred and most visited destinations on the entire Adriatic. Its most attractive characteristics are a warm, sunny climate, various accommodation offerings, sports and recreation, natural beauty, good culinary offer and an active night life.

One of the most beautiful beaches on the Adriatic is located here – Zlatni Rat. Historical monuments enthusiasts can see the roman aqueduct, tombstones and reliefs, old Christian sarcophagus, preromantic church of St. Ivan and Tudor, renaissance baroque palace, bishop residency and the church of Our Lady of Grace.

A very nice small town with lots of good restauran
Easy to get an overview as it is a small town. Many good restaurants with lots of nice food, especially the sea-food was very good. Beautiful landscape with the high mountains and the clear sea so close.
Very much people/tourists everywhere, as it was high season when we were there. Especially crowded at the beach close to the town centre. We found a more quiet beach a bit outside the town centre, that was very nice :)

      Cisza i spokój.

A clean, quiet and uncrowded locality. I easily found a place for the beach and bath. There is a supermarket, bakery and grocery store.
Hard to find a restaurant where you can eat for lunch.

Nice place that has all the holiday-essentials.
Al the things you need on your holiday are within a short range. Beach, restaurant, bakery, supermarket it''s al there. Bigger cities are within easy acees via motorway. In the evening it''s nice and quiet and police will patrol to ensure nothing is out of order. Perfect combination for us.

      ~Urokliwa Brodarica~
~Brodarica. Pozdrawiam

Mindig találtunk kényelmes helyet a napozásra.
